Although access to diverse media outlets is an essential aspect of the democratic right to information, small media outlets are experiencing increasingly difficulty in publicising their work and citizens are getting less exposure to these alternative viewpoints as a result as large multinationals or political interests dominating many spheres of European media communication.

We, friends of Greece

This petition is meant to influence the way people view Greece and the current financial crisis as well as to encourage Greek citizens to put more effort into electing politicians who will ensure open, democratic and well-functioning society so that the mistakes of the past are avoided. The goal is to eradicate the current backward looking method of mutual accusations and change the perceptions by looking forward and taking the crisis as an opportunity to “get democracy back on track”.

Even though European integration is ever more successful, naturally some difficulties are encountered in day to day life.
